October

Sure has been a while since I've actually written in this. It's hard to imagine that I have been keeping up with this for over a year!! Much has changed since I came back from Peru. As you've seen in the blog, I am now currently living in Charlottesville, VA attending the University of Virginia getting a graduate degree in the environmental science department. Me and the pup are learning what graduate school life is all about, doing labs, studying, going to lectures, etc. Research hasn't quite reared its ugly head just yet, although it is on its opening stretch.

Queso has gone through about 4 weeks of obedience training and now can do a variety of commands, although she is best at them when there is a hot dog treat available if she does it right. She's big, about 45 pounds now and almost 6 months old.

This past 2 months have been filled with pig roasts, football games, walks and hikes, a visit by the illustrious Gott-Eagle, a trip home to catch fall in Pennsylvania, lots of cooking, and new friends. I am looking forward to seeing a variety of concerts in the next few weeks. I just caught the Dave Grisman Quintet, and am going to see Medeski Martin and Wood on Halloween in New York City. Yonder Mountain String Band comes this week, and other concerts in the month include Pat Metheny, and Benevento/Russo.

hope that everyone is well, please email me and let me know how you are
